I'm Sara, a Sydney-based wedding day coordinator, and I coordinate weddings across the Southern Highlands, from Berrima's estates to Bowral's gardens and country hotels. Packages are $1,800 for 6 hours, $2,000 for 8 hours and $2,200 for 10 hours, each with three planning meetings and a full run sheet, plus a travel fee quoted upfront.
The Highlands are made for weddings: heritage estates, rolling gardens and proper seasons. They also come with frosty mornings, early winter sunsets, guests spread across half a dozen towns, and a spring festival that fills every bed in Bowral.
I take the logistics off your plate, so the four seasons you chose the Highlands for work in your favour on the day. That means the run sheet, the suppliers driving down from Sydney or up from Canberra, and the timing and weather calls.
What I plan for on a Southern Highlands wedding day
Every region has its own quirks. These are the Southern Highlands-specific details I build into your run sheet.
Frost and cold
Bowral averages around 11.6°C in July with overnight lows near 2°C, and frost is a regular winter visitor. I plan getting-ready times, photo locations, heaters and guest comfort around it, and make sure outdoor ceremonies aren't scheduled for the coldest part of the day.
Tulip Time and spring weekends
Tulip Time runs through September and early October (11 September to 5 October in 2026) in Corbett Gardens, Bowral. The gardens can't be booked for ceremonies during the festival and accommodation fills quickly, so I flag it early if your date falls in that window.
Guests spread across towns
Wedding guests often stay across Bowral, Mittagong, Berrima, Moss Vale and Robertson. I coordinate shuttle or transport timings and make sure everyone has clear arrival information.
Suppliers from Sydney and Canberra
Highlands weddings draw suppliers from both directions. I confirm arrival windows, access and parking with each one, and build in a buffer for Friday M5 traffic out of Sydney.

Park ceremonies in Wingecarribee Shire
Wingecarribee Shire Council takes free bookings for ceremonies in parks such as Corbett Gardens (Bowral), Lake Alexandra Reserve (Mittagong) and Leighton Gardens (Moss Vale). Approval takes around 10 working days and use isn't exclusive, so the public may be nearby. Conditions apply to what you can set up, which I'll check against your plans.
Council rules and fees change, so I confirm the current conditions for your date and location before you book.

Seasons, sunset and timing
Spring and autumn are peak seasons in the Highlands, often booked a year or two ahead. February is usually the wettest month and September the driest. Sunset in Bowral ranges from about 5:00pm in June to about 8:10pm in midsummer.
Book 3–6 months ahead for day-of coordination; popular dates go earlier.
