I'm Sara, a Sydney-based wedding day coordinator, and I coordinate weddings along the NSW South Coast, from Kiama and Gerringong to Berry, Kangaroo Valley and Jervis Bay. Packages are $1,800 for 6 hours, $2,000 for 8 hours and $2,200 for 10 hours, each with three planning meetings and a full run sheet, plus a travel fee quoted upfront.
South Coast weddings are often DIY-friendly farms, clifftop properties and beaches, which means you bring in every supplier, every chair and every plan. There's no hotel events team running the day.
That's exactly where a day-of coordinator earns their keep. I run the timeline, manage your suppliers, handle the setup and pack-down handovers and keep an eye on the weather, so your family isn't working your wedding.

Every region has its own quirks. These are the South Coast-specific details I build into your run sheet.
Shoalhaven's Function Safety Coordinator rule
Shoalhaven City Council requires a permit for ceremonies on its reserves for groups over 50, and medium and large functions need a named Function Safety Coordinator on site. I can take on that role for your ceremony, alongside running the rest of your day.
Holiday blackouts and traffic
Shoalhaven doesn't take reserve bookings over Christmas, Easter or the summer school holidays, and holiday traffic bottlenecks at Nowra Bridge and between Berry and Nowra can add 30 minutes or more. I factor both into your date, timings and supplier arrivals.
Southerly busters
Southerly changes hit this coast dozens of times a year, mostly in spring and summer and often late in the afternoon after a hot day. For beach and clifftop ceremonies we agree a wind and weather plan in advance, weighting for décor and a covered alternative.
Mountain roads into Kangaroo Valley
The roads into Kangaroo Valley are steep and winding, and Moss Vale Road has been closed by landslips in the past. I brief suppliers on the route and check Live Traffic in the week of your wedding.
DIY venues
Farm and estate venues often mean hiring and returning everything yourself. I coordinate deliveries, setup and pack-down so hire companies, stylists and caterers each know exactly when and where they're needed.

Beach and reserve ceremonies
Kiama Municipal Council (Black Beach, Blowhole Point, Minnamurra Headland, Seven Mile Beach and others) asks for applications and payment at least 28 business days ahead; at the time of writing it's $185 a day for up to 100 people. Shoalhaven City Council allows small ceremonies of up to 50 without a permit, while medium and large functions need a permit and a Function Safety Coordinator. It also limits sound to battery PAs and allows only biodegradable confetti or petals. National park beaches, such as Chinamans Beach in Jervis Bay National Park, are booked through NPWS, and Booderee National Park has its own permits.

Seasons, sunset and timing
Late spring through autumn is the classic South Coast season, but summer brings holiday crowds, southerly changes and council booking blackouts in the Shoalhaven. Some venues, such as Paperbark Camp, don't host weddings in January or at Easter.
Book 3–6 months ahead for day-of coordination; popular dates go earlier.
