Couple on their wedding day, coordinated by Hello Love

    Northern Beaches Wedding Day Coordinator

Day-of coordination for Northern Beaches, Sydney weddings, so you can be present while every detail is handled.

Wedding day coordination in the Northern Beaches, Sydney

I'm Sara, a Sydney-based wedding day coordinator, and I coordinate weddings across the Northern Beaches, from Manly and Shelly Beach to Pittwater and Palm Beach. Packages are $1,800 for 6 hours, $2,000 for 8 hours and $2,200 for 10 hours, each with three planning meetings and a full run sheet. The Northern Beaches is part of Sydney metro, so most weddings here don't attract a travel fee; I'll confirm it in your quote.

Northern Beaches weddings look effortless in photos: sand, sandstone, Pittwater at sunset. Getting there is the hard part. There are only a few roads in and out, parking near the beaches fills fast, and some of the best venues are reached by ferry or water taxi.

I plan the logistics around that (supplier access, guest arrival, council beach bookings and the weather), then run the day so you can enjoy the view.

What I plan for on a Northern Beaches wedding day

Every region has its own quirks. These are the Northern Beaches-specific details I build into your run sheet.

    Council beach and reserve ceremonies

Northern Beaches Council takes bookings for ceremonies in its parks and on its beaches, with a three-hour minimum that includes setup and pack-up. Confetti of any kind (including biodegradable), rice and balloons aren't allowed, and petals must be collected afterwards. Arches and marquees are allowed at some locations only. I check your plan against the conditions for your chosen spot.

Traffic, bridges and the Wakehurst Parkway

Military Road and the Spit Bridge are the main bottleneck from the city, and the Wakehurst Parkway between Seaforth and Narrabeen floods at its low point and closes several times a year. I build buffers into supplier arrivals and guest information and check Live Traffic on the day.

Ferries and water taxis on Pittwater

Venues around Church Point, Scotland Island and the western foreshore are reached by ferry or water taxi, and private charters run out of Palm Beach. I time guest and supplier crossings into the run sheet and confirm them in the week of the wedding.

    Southerly busters and coastal wind

Southerly changes hit the Sydney coast a few times a year, usually late in the afternoon after a hot day, which is right around ceremony and reception time. Everything on the sand is weighted, and we agree a covered backup in advance.

    National park headlands

Barrenjoey Headland at Palm Beach is in Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park, not council land, so ceremonies there need a National Parks booking, and the lighthouse is a 30-minute uphill walk each way. I help you weigh up the walk, the permit and the timing.

    Northern Beaches Council ceremony bookings

At the time of writing (October 2026), a council ceremony booking is $498 for up to three hours, plus $154 for a fourth hour, with setup and pack-up included in the booked time. Confetti (including biodegradable), rice and balloons aren't permitted; petals are fine if collected. Marquees up to 15m x 15m and arches are allowed at some venues. Many beaches and reserves are alcohol-free zones, PA systems need council approval, and weather refunds apply only if council closes the venue or you cancel at least two business days ahead.

Council rules and fees change, so I confirm the current conditions for your date and location before you book.

    Seasons, sunset and timing

Spring and autumn are the busiest wedding seasons in Australia. Some popular beach spots have seasonal or guest-number limits, so check early if your heart is set on a particular beach. Sunset at Manly ranges from about 4:54pm in June to about 8:10pm in early January.

Book 3–6 months ahead for day-of coordination; popular dates go earlier.

"Thank you so much for everything, Sara! The wedding ran so smoothly thanks to you. My wedding day was so seamless, and I was so relaxed the entire time."

    Northern Beaches wedding coordination FAQs

Yes, for ceremonies on Northern Beaches Council beaches and reserves. At the time of writing it's $498 for three hours, including setup and pack-up. Headlands inside national parks, such as Barrenjoey, are booked through National Parks instead.

No. Council doesn't allow confetti of any kind, including biodegradable confetti, or rice and balloons. Petals are fine as long as they're collected afterwards.

I build buffers into supplier and guest timings for Military Road, the Spit Bridge and the Wakehurst Parkway, share parking and drop-off details with suppliers in advance, and check Live Traffic on the day.

Yes. I add every crossing for guests and suppliers to the run sheet, confirm bookings with the ferry or charter operator and keep track of them on the day.

Usually, yes. A venue coordinator looks after the venue: the room, their staff, food and drinks. I look after you: the full-day run sheet, every outside supplier (photographer, florist, celebrant, band, hair and makeup, transport), your bridal party and family, and the moments that happen away from the venue. I work alongside the venue team, never against them.

The Northern Beaches is part of Sydney metro, so most weddings here don't attract a travel fee. I'll confirm it in your quote before you book.
